一、创建成立

中国铁路投资集团有限公司是应中国铁道部门体制改革的客观需求而专门成立。其使命是：招商引资、中外合作，组织资金、技术、设备、人才等，实施有关项目的“多元化投资、市场化运作、公司化管理”，为旅客及货主提供更多、更好的服务。
China Railway Investment Holding Group Limited，company are established for meeting the objective requirements on system reform of the Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China, with the missions of investment promotion, sino-foreign cooperation, as well as fund procurement, technique and equipment preparation, personnel organization, implementing "diversified investment, marketized operation and corporation management" of relevant projects and providing the passengers and the consignors with more and better services.
二、业务范围
II Business Scope
1、致力于中国铁路主业、辅业的产业化发展、市场化经营。业务涉及铁路电子商务、客运、货运、酒店、农场、旧火车站改造、空置土地开发、国内外贸易等项目。
A、Devoted to the industrialized development and market-featured management of main and auxiliary business. At the request of the development of Chinese railways, it has caught business opportunities of structural reform of investing and financing in railways construction, constantly expanded the scope of business. It has gradually developed from the initial 8 major projects
2、致力于煤炭、石油、天燃气、生物质能源的生产、储运、销售项目、红军长征公园及其配套产业开发建设项目、中国治理荒漠化及其配套产业开发建设项目等。

C、Devoted to the implementing the strategy of "going out", cooperating with public or private institutions in relevant nations or regions to set up companies, investing in the development of such basic industrial projects as overseas mineral, transportation, energy and communication as well as other projects, and obtaining such resources as minerals, agricultural products, forest products and animal products and transporting them back to China.
